The short, readable version of the rules.

1. What you get

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use our tools and software for your own work, whether personal or commercial. No account is required for the free features. You may not resell the software, redistribute it as your own, or attempt to bypass the limits that separate the free tier from Premium.

2. Your documents stay yours

We claim no ownership of anything you open, edit or create with our tools. The web tools, the Windows software and the Android app process your files on your own device; we do not receive, store or inspect them. The one exception is the PDF Downloader, which fetches the link you paste, builds the file in memory and keeps nothing afterwards.

3. Acceptable use

Use the tools on documents you own or are authorised to work with. You are responsible for respecting copyright, the rights of document owners, and the terms of any service the document came from. In particular, do not use these tools to remove protection, watermarks or restrictions from material you have no right to alter, to access documents you were not given access to, or for anything unlawful.

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it automatically at volume, or interfere with the advertising it runs on.

4. Accounts

Signing in with Google is optional and exists so one Premium subscription works across web, Android and Windows. Keep your Google account secure; activity through your account is treated as yours. We may suspend an account that is being used to abuse the service or to defraud the subscription system. You can delete your account at any time — see the deletion page.

5. Premium subscriptions

Premium removes ads and the free file-size limit on saves. It is billed through Google Play, renews automatically until you cancel, and can be cancelled at any time from your Google Play account — the subscription then runs to the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy. We may change the price of future renewal periods; you will see the new price before it applies, and cancelling is always available.

6. Advertising

The free tiers are supported by advertising served by Google AdSense on the web and Google AdMob in the Android app. Ads are clearly separated from our own content and are never placed to trick you into clicking. Advertisers are third parties and we do not endorse what they sell; anything you buy through an ad is between you and that advertiser. How ad cookies and identifiers work is set out in the privacy policy.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep everything running, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Tools may be changed, improved or withdrawn, and browser or operating-system updates can affect how they behave. We will not remove a feature you have paid for during a period you have already paid for.

8. No warranty, and the limits of our liability

The tools are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Document processing can go wrong — an unusual PDF, a browser quirk, a device running out of memory — so always keep the original file until you have checked the result. To the fullest extent the law allows, orb2bit is not liable for lost data, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and where liability cannot be excluded it is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Third-party services

We rely on services run by others — Cloudflare for hosting, Google for sign-in, billing and advertising, Google Play for app distribution. Their own terms apply to their parts of the experience, and their availability is outside our control.

10. Our content

The orb2bit name, logo, software, page copy and design are ours. You may link to any page freely, and quote reasonably with attribution, but please do not copy the site wholesale or present our software as your own product.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the products change; the date at the top will change with them. Continuing to use the tools after an update means you accept the revised version.
