Sign a PDF
Draw your signature once, drop it on the page and send the document back — no printer, no scanner, and the file never leaves your device.
Runs in your browser · Your file is never uploaded · No account needed
How to sign a PDF
- Open your PDF — the editor opens with the signature pad ready.
- Draw your signature with the mouse or your finger, in black or blue ink.
- Drag it onto the page, then move and resize it until it sits right.
- Save — the signature is written into the PDF itself.
What you get
- A real signature pad — draw with the mouse, a stylus or a finger.
- Black or blue ink, trimmed automatically to the ink you drew.
- Place, move and resize the signature like an image.
- Works on scanned documents too — the signature sits on top of the page.
- Runs in your browser: the signed document is never uploaded.
When you would use it
Sign and return a contract in minutes
Draw, place, save, reply — instead of print, sign, scan, attach.
Sign a form on your phone
Draw with your finger and the signature lands exactly where you drag it.
Initial every page of an agreement
Place the same drawn initials on page after page.
Why it stays on your device
Most online PDF sites upload your document to a server, process it there and email you a link. This one does not. The PDF is opened, changed and saved by your own browser, so a contract, a bank statement or an ID scan never travels over the network — and the tool keeps working on a slow connection.
Questions
Is a drawn signature legally valid?
For everyday paperwork — forms, approvals, internal documents — an image of your signature is widely accepted. When a document needs a verifiable cryptographic signature, use the Windows app's Cert sign tool, which signs with a real certificate.
Can I sign a scanned PDF?
Yes. The signature is placed on top of the page, so it works the same whether the page is real text or a scan.
Is my document uploaded to be signed?
No. The pad, the placement and the save all run in your browser, which is exactly what you want for a contract.
Can I type my name instead of drawing?
Yes — switch the editor to the Text tool and type your name over the signature line, in any size and colour.
How do I sign a PDF without printing and scanning?
Open it here, draw your signature in the pad and drag it onto the signature line. Saving writes it into the document — the whole loop happens on your device.
How can I sign a PDF for free without watermarks?
Nothing here stamps or marks your document. The saved file contains your signature and nothing else.
